Although we will say, we are to judge teachings to determine whether or not they are true. Jesus did that, the disciples did that and both instructed us to do it. That's what we do.

It's not about being terrified that a site to defend Jehovah's witnesses believe hasn't been created, it's because their believe is defended by the bible and what it really teaches. Really? Where does the Bible teach:

That Jesus is really Michael the archangel.
That Jesus would return invisibly.
That there is more than one God.
That the Holy Spirit is merely a "force".
That salvation comes through 4 steps including service to God's true organization
That celebrating birthday's is wrong.
That blood transfusions are wrong.

This is the true foundation for one's believe, and it's a shame that for you all to be so religious and christlike you would feel the need to put down what Christ himself said to keep doing, and that is to preach the good news of GOD'S KINGDOM to our brother's and sister's worldwide, which witnesses do. We don't put JW's down at all - we just don't believe what the Watchtower Organization teaches. We certainly don't begrudge anyone for going door-to-door. Mormons and witnesses should not be placed on the same level because for each believes in something totally different from one another, Witnesses believes solely in the bible and all of their material is bible based, and Mormons have their own bible not neccesarily related to bibles truths, so as you can see they aren't the same. Who said they were the same?? They are just two groups led by people who have distorted the Word of God who are going door-to-door. The ministry is "Defending Your Doorstep" to train Christians how do defend their faith against these groups and share with them the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said that Jehovah is greater than he was in all of our bibles and that we must love Jehovah God with all our hearts, strength and spirit and to love one another as ourselves and these two things holds up all of God's Laws. What do you mean by "these two things hold up under God's laws? You choose not to believe it because the truth isn't found in you. Oh, so now your JUDGING us without actually looking at our material. That seems fair. Nor was the trinity found anywhere in the bible except for one scripture that seems to imply this, but the word trinity itself can't even be found in the entire bible not even in the index, this is according to the King James versions of the bible, maybe you all should do some better research or actually have a real Witness conduct a bible study with you to get accurate knowledge of God's word, and not those opinions of faithless x-witnesses. Wow - that was one heck of a sentence. Ok, first - just because the word "Trinity" is not in the Bible does not mean it doesn't exist. "Theocracy" is not in the Bible either, but you live in one. Just because centimeters might not be on a ruler does not mean centimeters don't exist. Secondly, the evidence for the Trinity - three persons constituting the one God (three "who's" making up the one "what") is all over the Bible (even the KJV). Now I can't post the three chapters we devote to this in the Battling the Watchtower book here on the site, but here is a chart of verses that should help you get a better understanding of that concept:

One last thing witnesses don't sell their materials like you are trying to do, (that's not true - each JW has to make a "donation" for their materials - you know that) if you believe in what you are teaching maybe you should make your materials free so that your arguments can really mean something, (click this ) thank God we have the chose that he gave us personal to choose what we feel is true in our own hearts, Praise Jehovah God most high over all the earth in the name of his son who he sent Jesus christ, amen. Do you guys wonder why you get so much hate mail? No. Looks to me like you get more of that than anything else. Hmm.. wonder why (Check out Matthew 10:22 - that will help you get your answer). Also, I take joy in the fact that for every sad soul YOU guys confuse (yes it IS YOU who's doing the confusing-HOW CAN YOU MAKE THAT STATEMENT WHEN YOU HAVEN'T EVEN LOOKED AT OUR MATERIAL?) Jehovas and Mormons convert like 200 others Where in the world did you get THAT statistic?

. Still growing! So is true Christianity! My most important note is.. truth defends itself! What does THAT mean? That we should not provide information on the truth? That it will just appear?
If you're SO adament about everyone else being wrong where's YOUR proof?

And don't say the Bible, and don't tell me your right because THEY'RE wrong because that kind of reasoning is as weak as anyones! We didn't SAY THAT - WHY DON'T YOU ACTUALLY LOOK AT ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS BEFORE YOU POP OFF ABOUT IT? NOBODY has ever "proved" "the truth" in terms of religion! Wrong! Jesus did by rising from the dead! If we HAD solid, concrete, undeniable evidence we'd all join! Obviously not - you've already "proved" that you just want to cling to your own ideals - tearing us up without actually reading or listening to our material is proof of that. Furthermore, in all of my readings of material against Mormons. I have YET to find ANY solid, concrete, undeniable evidence against them! So my friend, what makes YOU any different? The first thing that makes us different is that you haven't actually LOOKED at ours... Most, if not all, are either falsifications, bent truths, or unsupported reasoning of simple men without backbone. Try and prove a religion wrong using the Bible, that doesn't even fully rely on it! We prove Mormonism wrong based on their own documents and Scriptures - you'd know that if you actually LOOKED AT OUR MATERIAL...but that would actually take thought...

Why do you think that the JW's are wrong when in fact they live there lives in full harmony with the teachings of Jehovah. Well, first of all, the measurement of TRUTH is not whether or not someone BELIEVES they are living in full harmony with the teachings of God - that is circular reasoning. Jews, Muslims, Christians and Mormons ALL believe they are living in "full harmony with the teachings of Jehovah..". They are the only ones truly going out door to door preaching the word of God. No, they are not- Mormons and Baptists are going door-to-door as well. They are the only ones that make the it a point to follow up on those that weren't at home. No, they are not- Mormons and Baptists are doing that - WAIT A MINUTE! THIS IS THE REASON YOU BELIEVE THE ORGANIZATION IS GOD'S TRUE ORGANIZATION - BECAUSE THEY ARE "FOLLOWING-UP AT HOUSES WHEN THE PEOPLE WEREN'T AT HOME????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? Doesn't the bible teach you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Yes! What's your point? We are in the time of the harvest.

We are surely in the last days of this truly wicked system. I really beleive the the JW's have the truth and they are the true defenders of THE TRUTH. BASED ON WHAT!? Based on the TRUTH they have had to repeatedly change to contradict old "truth" over the last 120+ years? Who is to say that tomorrow there won't be a new "truth"? I thought JEHOVAH ran this organization! Can't He get the "truth" right the FIRST TIME? May you find it in your heart to really listen to what they have to say because it means life or death for you and your loved ones. I will leave you with my favorite scripture found in Proverb 3:5,6. Your question as to why we don't believe JW's are correct is very, very simple - the Watchtower claimed to be the Faithful & Discreet Slave appointed such by Jesus after his evaluation in 1914 - 1918. The ONLY qualification for being the FDS was to be "giving true spiritual food at the proper time" (Matt 24:45-47). During this time however, they were teaching Jesus was NOT Michael, that Jesus DID NOT return in 1914 and were making false prophecies.

Clearly they lied. One who lies about speaking for God is a false prophet (Deut. 18:20-22)

As far as going door-to-door, Mormons and Baptists do that as well - does that mean THEIR organizations are true?

Let me leave you with a scripture - I John 4:1.

I do not have a question, but a comment. I studied with JW's for almost 20 years

. Although I never was baptized, (I was a former Catholic) I did see the closeness and love the JW's have for each other and others Really? How does this relate to what you say later in this email?. I was so impressed on how they build their Kingdom Halls

. As I studied, although many "truths" something never was 100% true. Something was missing. I told my dear friend that I needed to take a break from the studies and for 3 years did nothing. then I started going to a christian church, Woohoo

I knew this is what I was looking for in the bible

. Although, you are trying to HELP remember, JWs are not the enemy. Many are very good, honest and loving people ABSOLUTELY - IN FACT, I'D SAY "MOST". They truly believe what they are taught, and like the catholic church want you only to read THEIR materials. I think that is the key. With God's Holy Spirit I have been able to desern truth from false teachings. Trust me, I miss my friends ( now I am shunned, because I don't believe as they do) SEE, THIS IS THE QUESTION - WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THAT "LOVE" THEY HAD FOR OTHERS? They love only those who believe like they do. That's not what Jesus did. I miss the closeness, friendships, ect. But now with the grace of God I have made new friends. My point is please be loving in teaching of these people. The way JW's are taught today does not focus on their history, so many new converts do not know about what their early leaders did, just like the catholics, JW and catholics hear about new revelations, that is why they can change their laws and doctrines. thank you for your website.

A special note - what we know about new revelation is that it can never contradict old revelation - God cannot contradict Himself. That is what has helped us realize that the Watchtower cannot be what it claims to be. Thanks for writing.

Since a small child growing up in Pennsylvania, my mother has belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ, (no Latter Day Saints). She has ALWAYS read the book of Mormon and claims that it is the second book to the Bible, that her church is the only church to belong to and that they talk about tribes

. I am trying to learn more about Christanity and don't agree with my mother's church. My question is my mother claims she is DEFINATELY not a Mormon, but follows the book of Mormon - this is very confusing to me. Is there any literature I can read about this Joseph Smith (who I think is a false prophet). I listen to you on WMUZ on Wednesday and liked what you had to say about the Morom religion. Just wondering where I can get the same information you had about this man. {Confused}

This is a very interesting problem. After Joseph Smith was murdered, the church split up. Since Joseph had not laid out a lineage of successors to lead the church, some people followed Brigham Young and some followed, Joseph's son, Joseph Smith III. Those that followed Brigham ended up in Salt Lake City (LDS Church) and several splinter groups emerged from following Joseph Smith III. It sounds like your mother has landed in one of the many offshoots of Joseph Smith III.

but frankly everyone here is a few years past pseudo-intellectual attacks against Christianity. It's not our bailiwick to correct your flawed, faith-based evolutionary model, flawed fossil records, circular carbon dating methods and the like. To be honest, I didn't think anyone still argued against Christianity using EVOLUTION

- you're about 20 years behind the curve.

If your truly that interested then I'd encourage you to other websites (www.CARM.org).

A little piece of advice: before you start to get in theological debates, try to stay logically consistent. For example - you chastise us for something we're not doing : "exploit(ing) the enmity of other religions for profit". We never deal with any enmity either group has toward Christianity - we focus on their flawed belief systems. Your contention is a Straw Man argument Scarecrow

. Secondly, why attack us for (what you perceive to be) us attacking other religions when you do the EXACT same thing by attacking our beliefs?
