Reaching Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons with the true gospel of Jesus Christ

CHASING THE WATCHTOWER'S GHOST

We've been desperately looking for a semi-scholarly source of someone who would defend the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society for us but to virtually no avail.  Perhaps it is, as one site established:

"As the official literature of the Watchtower Bible &Tract Society has stated there is no need for individual Witnesses to have web sites that discuss the "beliefs and practices" of Jehovah's Witnesses." (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/newworldtranslation/home.htm)

We can't imagine why, if the Watchtower truly had defensible positions, they wouldn't want to silence their critics and "provide a reason for the hope (they) have" (I Peter 3:15).  But apparently that is "out of bounds" as the person responsible for the above website quickly retreated...

"We would like to state that this web site does not discuss any unique "beliefs and practices" of Jehovah's Witnesses."

Indeed the single site of interest we have found that addresses the specific charges against the Watchtower has since deleted all reference as to their identity and/or contact information!

Can you imagine being so terrified of an organization that you can't defend their teachings without fear of repercussions?  What about all that "loving one another" we hear so much about?  What about how the Apostles defended Christianity in the book of Acts (not to mention 1 Peter 3:15 already cited above)?

We're happy to piece together what we can for you.  If you find a interesting website that might serve as a Watchtower apologetic website (one that defends the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society) please do let us know.

Does the New World Translation add words not found in the Greek manuscripts in Colossians 1?

Does John 17:3 teach that only the Father is God?

Why doesn't Jesus mention the Holy Spirit when He says only the Father knows the hour of his return?
